NAWBO BOARD OF DIRECTORS The NAWBO Atlanta Board of Directors is comprised of NAWBO members who volunteer their time and support to manage and grow the local Atlanta chapter. The Board is led by a member President to ensure that NAWBO Atlanta maintains its mission for Women Owned Businesses throughout the state of Georgia. BOARD COMMITTEES Affiliate Partners Committee Builds relationships with local organizations providing additional member benefits Provides members with additional resources to build and promote their businesses to potential members. CEO Roundtables Organizes the CEO Round Table Program Develops and disseminates Program information and schedule Selects the Roundtable Facilitators Selects and assigns participants to appropriate groups Community Affairs Reviews and selects non-profit and charitable organizations that would benefit from local chapter assistance. Develops chapter programs to raise money or resources for the selected organizations. Organizes volunteer programs for our chapter member participation. Corporate Partners Manages the Annual Corporate Sponsorship program Develops and implements the objectives and strategies to promote sponsorships Updates the sponsorship program materials and offerings annually Maintains all Sponsorship relationships, information and contacts Facilitates board members in cultivating sponsors Education Develops and implements the objectives and strategies to provide an educational curriculum for Chapter members. Reviews and solicits the appropriate professionals, partners and alliances that deliver educational programs. Develops the schedule and costs for member and non-member participants. Events Plans and executes the member yearly program schedule Selects monthly program topics Makes all arrangements for speakers Creates the program agenda for monthly meetings Plans special evening programs Writes monthly articles for newsletter, both promoting upcoming programs and recapping past programs. Marketing Develops and implements the strategies to grow awareness and visibility of the local chapter Works with professional agencies in the PR and Advertising industry to develop chapter marketing materials and resources Advises all in-house chapter communications and all public communications regarding NAWBO Atlanta Develops content for the Monthly and Weekly eblast Manages all content development for the chapter website Member Focus Recognizes and promotes chapter member achievements to the chapter and the local community. Develops strategies and ideas to highlight and focus on member achievement Solicits and collects recognition opportunities from chapter members Membership – Recruitment Recruit prospective members Welcome new members Encourage member participation Generate monthly newsletter profiles on new member Plan membership recruitment events and new member orientations Membership – Retention Manages all membership renewals Develops surveys to understand membership satisfaction Contacts all members 60 days prior to membership renewal Conducts exit interviews on all non-renewing members Public Policy Informs and educates members on public policy issues that impact women-owned businesses Keep Members informed about events to become involved and support small business public policy opportunities Represents the chapter at national public policy events WE Awards Plans and executes the Chapter’s annual Women owned business award event- WE Awards (Women Entrepreneur awards) Executes the “Call for the Nominations” and finalists selections. Solicits and sells the Program advertising Prints and distributes the event program booklet |
